Chocolatier 3: Decadence by Design has hit the web and caused a frenzy! If you’re stuck on part of this game, or if you’re thinking about downloading it, here are a few tips to help you make it through.

Once you’ve visited many different cities and chocolate shops within them in Chocolatier 3, you can scroll over your chocolates and see a range of prices that have been offered to you by various vendors. This works similarly on ingredients. Hover the mouse key over each ingredients and it will tell you how much you have in stock, where it was last found, how much it was found for, and a range of prices you’ve seen it for at different cities around the world. This should be used often to make sure you’re not getting ripped off for an ingredient.

There will be times where Chocolatier 3 will offer new technologies that you can buy for your factories. This includes a remote telegraph and a corporate plane. Definitely buy the first invention because it allows you to change recipes at a factory without traveling to the city, which saves you a lot of time and money. The plan will pay itself off in the long run.

Visit the secret test kitchen in Iceland as soon as you can, because having chocolates that you invented yourself on hand is important and it also helps you to diversify your offerings, resulting in higher payments.

When you invent new recipes in your secret test kitchen, I recommend diversifying the type of chocolates you create. And you’ll understand why when you get to the last challenge. It’s not recommended that you make them all chocolate bars, all truffles, etc. Try and create one of each type of candy or coffee.

Just like in the old Chocolatier games, in Chocolatier 3: Decadence by Design you’ll be asked to fulfil orders as favors by various people you meet in different cities. ALWAYS accept these and be sure to fulfill them! They often result in new recipes.

From time to time you’ll get a telegraph with an order to fulfill. Accept these even if you’re not sure if you can fulfil them or not. Try and complete them while you’re producing other items als favors. They are extremely profitable.

Towards the end of the game a woman might approach you about gambling while you’re traveling for one city to another. Be sure to listen to her. Here’s a hint: she doesn’t actually want you to gamble!

Another difference in Chocolatier 3 compared to it’s predecessors is that there are some stores that sell coffee only, so they will not purchase your chocolates.

Your first couple of challenges revolve around getting the good favor of the members of the board. A big part of that is not only making income but gaining ownership of stores. The stores in Kona, Havana and Tangiers are the first three that you will be able to own. Of course you’ll have to take the owners cases of rare and exotic recipes which are costly to make. So be sure to save as much cash as you can early on in the game. You will not be paid for favors.
