Global Warming Is Bunk

I think Global Warming is bunk. There, I said it. Bring on the hatred, the attacks, the minimization of any intellect I may possess.

If you are still with me, let me explain.

I believe with every fiber of my being that the Earth is being destroyed by mankind. We have greedily demanded more from the Mother Nature than can be supplied. Through synthetic chemicals, pesticides, and other man-made substances (plastic anyone?), we are choking, strangling, and poisoning our world to a point from which we may never recuperate.

Newborns everywhere have pesticides in their bloodstreams. Deep ocean creatures have microplastics in their cells. Soils across the globe have been drenched in so many chemicals they are basically ‘dead’ and no longer able to support plants. The Earth is dying.

And Mother Earth is communicating with us to let us know. The examples just cited as well as crazy weather patterns are all tied into the clear message that as a people, we are destroying our planet. Our causes are creating the effects.

But Global Warming? The hyper-emotional term that points fingers and polarizes friends, families, and nations? Nothing will EVER be accomplished when using this term! Hurling the term Global Warming is a guarantee of conflict.

Industrialized nations, Capitalism, Big Corporations, Big Ag, Conservatives, Liberals, Republicans, Democrats, whatever you chose to dislike – they are all huge, faceless entities people consider responsible for Global Warming. The bigger the target, the easier it is to point fingers.

How convenient and how incredibly lazy.

Global Warming proponent – “It’s not ME that is doing anything wrong – it is ‘them’! ‘They’ are the bad guys and I am outraged! And you should be outraged! And I am outraged that you are NOT outraged! ‘They’ deserve all the animosity, venom, disgust and vitriol we can hurl at ‘them’!”

Really? Complaining without offering a solution is just noise. Pointing fingers accomplishes nothing but create defensive, deaf ears. We have a serious problem on our hands and instead of making it better, the Global Warming anger campaign strangles any hope of improvement.

Earth needs us. Everyone of us has the obligation to do what is best for her. Education is key. Lower your carbon footprint. Patronize businesses and products that are sustainable. Demand locally that toxic, synthetic pesticides NOT be used in public buildings. Demand organic food – better yet, grow your own. Actively engage in wellness to avoid dependency on Big Pharma. Carpool, conserve water, re-use, re-cycle, re-purpose. Stop the throw away mentality. Don’t buy plastic water bottles. Live the life the Earth needs you to live.

Engage in positive outcomes. Educate – with facts – of what companies to avoid due to their flippant behavior. Help pass local ordinances to protect and preserve Nature. Unite with others to create a groundswell of eco-friendly expectations. Shift the narrative!

I think Global Warming is bunk as it is simply angry noise.

Yet the Earth needs us… so work in harmony with her. It’s the only way.
