BulletStorm lag problems are caused by a number of issues and errors that will often appear on the Windows system. The issue is that your computer will basically be unable to properly read the settings / options that will allow BulletStorm to run properly – leading it to appear to run slowly. This problem can be caused by the likes of your PC not having the correct hardware settings to having settings that are corrupted / damaged. To fix this issue, it’s recommended you follow the steps outlined in this guide:
1) Don’t Run Any Other Programs Whilst Playing BulletStorm
If you’re running BulletStorm on a decent computer, many people will try and play the game whilst running a number of other applications in the background. Although this might work for a few hi-spec machines, it’s not recommended, and therefore vital that you only run the BulletStorm application and no others. To do this, you should first press CTRL + ALT + DEL on your keyboard, and then stop any of the programs running that you are not using. This will allow your computer to read the files that it allows to run, boosting the speed of your system considerably.
2) Make Sure Your Hardware Meets Requirements
The second step is to ensure that the hardware levels of your system are sufficient enough to make BulletStorm work. This game is new, and consequently requires some considerable hardware processing power – which can be seen here:
- OS: Windows Vista (SP2) or Windows 7
- Processor: Quad Core 2.0 GHz
- Memory: 2 GB
- Video Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible, 512MB of VRAM
If you suspect your PC does not meet these requirements (and remember these are minimum requirements just need to get the game running – its’ recommended you have better hardware than that)
3) Clean Out The Registry Of Windows
The most recommended way to fix the slow speed of BulletStorm is to use a “registry cleaner” application to fix any of the potential problems that will be preventing the program from operating smoothly. We’ve found that one of the main problems for this game, and others, is that their settings (which are stored inside the “registry database” of your PC) are continually being damaged and corrupted – which will actually prevent your system from being able to read the files / settings that it needs to run. To fix this, you can use a program called Frontline Registry Cleaner to fix any of the issues that Windows may have inside – which should boost the speed of this game considerably.
